Hattie Jean Hughes, 87, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at Russell County Hospital. Born on August 6, 1935 in Jabez, she was a daughter of the late George Ellis and Ina Popplewell Perkins.
Hattie was a member of The Church of God in Franklin, Indiana. She enjoyed her working in her flowers and gardening. Hattie loved her family and spending time with all of her grandchildren. Hattie was a caring person that donated to many different organizations and was always looking for ways to help people.
In addition to her parents, Hattie was preceded in death by her husband, Norris B. Hughes, who passed away March 18, 2007; two sons: Alan Dale Hughes and Timmy L. Hughes; five brothers: Cosby Perkins, R.V. Perkins, Kenzel Perkins, Clifford Perkins, and Junior Perkins; and three sisters: Betty Perkins, Wanda Perkins, and Brenda Henderson.

1 daughter: Cathy (Danny) Carter of Franklin, Indiana

2 sisters: Norma Ramlow of Russell Springs and Janice (Ronnie) Decker of Somerset
8 grandchildren: Shawn (Craig) Griggs, Chad (Amanda) Carter, Ryan (Rachel) Carter, Amanda Hughes, Jared Hughes, Eric (Danielle) Mason, Chelsea (Ian) Williams, and Keith (Gabrielle) Hughes
