Phillip Dale DeSpain, 72, of Campbellsville, KY passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on March 16, 1951 in Allendale, KY to the late Russell and Eulala Milby DeSpain.
Mr. DeSpain was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church and the Elkhorn Masonic Lodge #568. Phillip was the former owner and operator of Shively’s Jewelry in Campbellsville before continuing his career as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for the former Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville and most recently with Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family, friends and especially “Dash & Buttons”.

4 grandchildren: Aidan Bowles, Anne Claire Melton, Annabelle Mullins, and Monroe Melton
3 siblings: Doris Shofner (Virgil) of Campbellsville, KY, Beverly Judd (Joel) of Cynthiana, KY, and Glenda Tucker (Tommy) of Paducah, KY

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Kristen Larimore.

Burial: Green County Memory Gardens in Summersville, KY
Visitation: Sunday from 4:00-8:00pmCT and Monday morning until the time for the service
Masonic services conducted by Elkhorn Lodge 568 will be held at 7:00pmCT on Sunday at the funeral home and the public is welcome to attend.
