Phillip G. Burton, 90, of Jamestown, KY passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Fair Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 1, 1933 in Russell Springs, KY, a son of the late Virgil and Jewell Wilson Burton.
He was a veteran who served honorably in the United States Army. Phillip owned and operated Phillip’s Dry Cleaners for over 25 years. He could be considered a “Jack of all trades”; Phillip raised horses many years, was a racehorse trainer for some time; he ran different car wash businesses over the years and for a time, delivered Sapp’s Doughnuts.

3 grandchildren: Evan (Cassie Jo) Burton, Kasey (Shawn) Bardin, and Tara (Adam) Coomer
3 great-grandchildren: Reese Bardin, Blane Bardin and Max Coomer

Along with his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Arthur Burton; his brother, Mack Burton; and his sister, Nancy Hines.
Graveside Service: Monday, July 10, 2023 at 10:00amCT at Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Phillip Miller officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Russell County Honor Guard.
