Connie Burress, 82, Adair County, KY


Connie Burress, 82, of the Milltown community of Adair County died Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 10:39 A.M. at the Metcalfe Health Care Center in Edmonton, KY. She was born December 2, 1941 in Adair County to the late Richard and Elva Rogers Downey. 
 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bobby Burress, her step-father, Horace Gabehart, and her brother, Larry Downey.

 

Connie was a faithful member of Milltown Church until her health failed, a member of the Portlandettes Homemaker Club, worked at Fruit of the Loom, and was a Ward Clerk at Westlake Regional Hospital.

 

SURVIVORS:

2 sons: Wally & wife Laura Burress and Bryan Burress both of Columbia

1 sister: Karen Roy of Richmond

1 grandson: Austin Burris of Columbia

Several other relatives & friends

 

Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Milltown Church with Bro. Barney Taylor officiating

 

Burial: Milltown Cemetery

 

Visitation: Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 6:00 A.M. until 8:30 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home and after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church

 

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Milltown Church on the Donor’s favorite charity
