The City of Columbia and Pamela Hoots Mayor are hosting a donation drive for Bob's Basket starting on Saturday, August 29, 2026 as LWU welcomes students back to campus.
Donation Examples: Instant (microwavable) Meals, Canned Goods, Individually Wrapped Snacks, Soap, Body Wash, Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes & Hygiene Products
Avoid perishable foods such as food items that require cooking, items in large-inseparable quantities, used or opened hygiene products, and food items in torn or damaged containers.
Drop-off locations: Columbia City Hall, BYO Express Quisine, Priceless, and the Alumni House on the LWU campus (314 Myrtle Drive).
Bob's Basket is an on-campus food and necessities pantry that aims to make nonperishable food and hygiene items accessible to all students. Bob's Basket is run primarily on community and campus donations and all items are appreciated!
