A Silent City Scavenger Hunt will be held on Monday evening, October 19, 2026. Continuing with the Silent City 20th Anniversary festivities, the Adair County Genealogical Society, the Adair Genealogy & History Research Center, and the Adair County Public Library will host a special, one-time event on Monday evening. There will be a Scavenger Hunt in the Columbia Cemetery with a prize for the winning individual or team.
Gather at the Research Center, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY at 5:00pmCT for a list of items to be found and the rules of play. Then all participants will be released at the same time to trek or drive to the cemetery to seek the answers. The first team back to the Research Center with all or the most correct answers, will win the prize. Photo answers will be easiest to check, but pen & paper may also be just as much fun! No age limits!
