An investigation into a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church late Saturday night resulted in the arrest of a Marion County man and the seizure of several grams of Methamphetamine.
While patrolling the Sano – Mt. Olive community, Deputy Evan Burton observed a 2002 Saturn car in the church parking lot just before 9:00 p.m. After making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, Deputy Burton utilized his partner, K-9 Matt. Subsequent to K-9 Matt alerting to the presence of the odor of illegal drugs, Deputy Burton discovered three baggies containing Methamphetamine on one of the passengers.
Emory L. Miller, 26, of Lebanon, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth), Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Miller was processed and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
