An investigation by Russell Co. Sheriff Clete McAninch & Deputy Ethan Pike has resulted in the arrest of two persons and the recovery of numerous items stolen last week from a church and a garage.
Late Friday night, Bradley Hicks, 39, of Russell Springs, KY, was arrested by Sheriff McAninch & Deputy Pike and charged with breaking into the Faith General Independent Church on KY 76 West in the Webbs Crossroads community. More arrests are forthcoming in that case.
At 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Christopher L. Pickett, 39, of Wooldridge Schoolhouse Road, Jamestown, KY, was taken into custody by Deputy Evan Burton & Deputy Nathan Ginn on a warrant sworn-out by Deputy Pike in connection with the burglary of Kelly Comer’s garage on Old Columbia Road, Russell Springs. More arrests are forthcoming in that case as well.
Several items stolen from the Faith General Independent Church and numerous tools stolen from Comer’s garage have been recovered. Additionally, several items stolen from the Thomas Ridge Christian Church in Dunnville have also been recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
