A Pulaski County man is charged with attempted murder after he allegedly fired shots at a man's home shortly after 8pm Sunday near Cotter Ave. and Mound St.
Police say 32 year old Douglas Honeycutt, of Somerset, had a violent confrontation with the man. The victim told investigators Honeycutt had threatened his life. The man says Honeycutt drove past him while pointing pistol in his direction and fired. Honeycutt was found at his residence, along with the vehicle matching the description of the one used in the incident. A spent, 9mm shell casing was found in the car, and 9mm handgun was inside the residence. Police say Honeycutt initially consented to a gunshot residue test on his hands, but then revoked that consent and tried to wash his hands to destroy evidence.
Honeycutt lodged in the Pulaski County Jail on charges of Attempted Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
