A squirrel caused a power outage in Columbia this morning. 

 
Adair County Emergency Director Mike Keltner said that the power outage, that occurred around 8:30amCT, affected many Columbia residents as well as businesses. Keltner went on to say the outage was caused by a squirrel which short-circuited a line at a transformer substation in city limits. Power was out for a couple of hours.
