A Somerset man has been arrested for Drug Trafficking following a joint operation by the Pulaski Co. Sheriff's Office, Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force, Kentucky State Police, and the U.S. Postal Service.
Authorities received a tip that illegal drugs were entering Pulaski County from other states. A package was tracked while in transit. Once it reached a residence in Somerset, officers recovered the package containing illegal narcotics. Officers also recovered 7.2 grams of methamphetamine from an individual outside of the residence.
Search warrants were executed on three additional residences which produced marijuana, cocaine, and weapons.
The total amount of drugs confiscated in Friday's operation was:
1. 33.5 pounds of Marijuana
2. 17.5 grams of Cocaine
3. 7.2 grams of Methamphetamine
Alberto Trujillo, age 42 of Rainbow Terrace, Somerset is charged with Trafficking in Marijuana (ver 8 oz). Additional arrests and further charges are expected.
