A TAYLOR CO. MAN ESCAPED HARDIN CO. JAIL OVER THE WEEKEND

A Taylor County man is a "Wanted Man" after escaping custody at the Hardin County Detention Center on Saturday.

46 year old William Jeffrey Glover of Elkhorn, KY was an inmate working in the kitchen area of the Hardin County Detention Center. Glover reportedly stole an employee’s car keys and fled the grounds at approx. 4:50 a.m. Saturday.

Glover is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. The vehicle is a gray 2014 Toyota Camry with Kentucky license plate 264-WNK.

He was working in the kitchen during breakfast preparation and stole a set of keys from the kitchen office, Hardin County Jailer Danny Allen said. As food was being loaded to be taken to another building, Allen said officials believe Glover hid in a shed, climbed over the fence, stole an employee’s car and drove off.

Jail officials called the Elizabethtown Police Department about the incident at 5:05 a.m. and then contacted other law-enforcement agencies.

Among Glover’s charges are first-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

If you have any information regarding Glover, call local law-enforcement agencies.
