Columbia Police arrested a man on drug charges after a theft complaint .

On Wednesday Columbia Police Department responded to a local retailer on Hudson Street to a reported theft . Upon arrival officers located the individual still on the property where he was taken into custody. 

According to the report, police arrested 26-year-old Josh Ford of Columbia on the following charges:

- Public intoxication excludes alcohol

- Possession of Marijuana

- Theft by Unlawful Taking under $500

The arrest was made by Columbia Police Officer Charles Greer who was assisted by Officer Josh Brockman.
