Two Adair County residents were arrested after a call was answered on reported barn lumber theft.
Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss reports that on Friday, November 10, 2017 at approx. 6:30amCT, Chief Deputy Aaron Rainwater responded to Melson Ridge Road on a complaint of individuals stealing barn lumber. Upon arrival, 28 year old Patrick Loy and 28 year old Crystal Bennett both of Columbia, KY, were arrested on charges of Criminal Trespassing 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, Theft by unlawful taking (barn lumber) and trafficking in Methamphetamine more than 2 grams. Loy and Bennett were lodged in the Adair County Jail on $10,000.00 bonds. More charges are pending in this case.
