According to Sheriff Greg Speck, an investigation by the Narcotics Division of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office led to the arrest of a Bronston man on Tuesday afternoon, November 21, 2017.
Detectives from the Narcotics Division of the Sheriff's Office issued an "Attempt to Locate" request on a vehicle suspected to be involved in drug trafficking in Pulaski County. Sergeant Richard Smith made contact with the driver of a vehicle fitting the description of the ATL at Denny's Shell Station on South Highway 27.
After interviewing the driver of the vehicle and a passenger in the van, a quantity of substance believed to be cocaine was recovered and the driver, James Michael Washington, age 41 of 2130 Highway 90, Loop 2, Bronston, Kentucky was arrested. Mr. Washington was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense >4 grams.
A search warrant for Mr. Washington's residence in Bronston was executed shortly after his arrest. Deputies seized several vehicles as well as $2600 cash and 4 sets of digital scales. Deputies were assisted in the search of the residence by troopers of the Kentucky State Police.
James M. Washington was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center without incident. The investigation continues by the Narcotics Division of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
