A Lebanon, KY woman was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Taylor county after the vehicle she was riding in swerved to miss a deer in the roadway.
According to Taylor County Sheriff Deputy Branden Wilson's investigation, Ruth D. Garrett, 61, of Campbellsville, KY was driving east on Saloma Road just before 6:00 am ET Tuesday. Garrett was driving a 2016 Kia about five miles west of Campbellsville when she lost control of the vehicle after swerving to miss a deer in the road. The vehicle left the right side of the road, struck a fence and a utility pole.
A passenger, 29-year-old Destine E Garrett of Lebanon was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital by CTCEMS for non-life threatening injuries. Garrett was not injured.
Deputy Wilson was assisted on the scene by Campbellsville Fire/Rescue and EMS.
