On Monday, Dec. 18, 2017 the Adair County Sheriffs Office responded to the single vehicle accident with injuries 11 miles north of Columbia on Milltown Road. 

The accident happened when 17 year old Renita Vanarsdale of Columbia, KY lost control of her vehicle the vehicle traveled off the roadway striking a ditch and overturning. A passenger, 21 year old Brittany Murphy was treated on the scene and transported to T.J. Health Columbia for injuries sustained. The operator was not injured.
