SOMERSET, Ky. (May 2, 2018) – Beginning, Tuesday, May 8, KY 76 (Font Hill) in Russell County will be temporarily closed to through traffic beginning at mile point 7 (Cooper Creek) and extending to the intersection of KY 80 (mile point 7.4).
The closure is necessary for the ongoing realignment project which will realign a section of KY 76 at Font Hill as it intersects with KY 80.
The closure is expected to last approximately 4 weeks. Upon reopening of the roadway traffic will be traveling on the newly constructed section of KY 76. Motorist are advised to pay close attention to signage.
Signed detour routes will be posted via KY 80 and KY 910.
Motorists are reminded that speed limits are reduced along KY 76 and KY 80 from 55 to 45 mph through this area.
