From Larry Smith - GM 99.9 the Big Dawg
On Saturday, June 23, 2018 at approximately 11:40pmET, Chadwick Hagan was operating a 2007 Dodge Charger westbound on US 68 at a high rate of speed when he collided into the rear of a 2005 Honda Accord operated by Philip Benningfield.
Benningfield's vehicle was disabled. Hagen left the scene headed towards Campbellsville. Campbellsville police officer Richie French and Taylor County Sheriff's Deputy Steven Dobson located the vehicle traveling west on Broadway. The vehicle was observed crossing the double yellow line multiple times and refused to stop. Hagen led officers on a pursuit into Adair County where KSP, Adair County Sheriff’s Office and Columbia City Police assisted in stopping the vehicle.
The vehicle was stopped on Edmonton Road after striking an Adair County Sheriff'a unit, subject was placed under arrest and transported back to Taylor County by the Taylor County Sheriff's Department.
Hagen was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center on the following charges:
(1) leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render Aid/assistance
(2) operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense
(3) wanton endangerment 1st (police officer), 3 counts
(4) reckless driving
(5) fleeing or evading police, first degree (motor vehicle)
Subject also was charged with numerous traffic violations. Kentucky State Police has numerous charges in Adair County.
