An Adair County man was arrested over the weekend following a complaint of a possible impaired driver.
On Saturday, June 30, 2018 at approximately 9:30 am, Adair County 911 received a complaint of a possible impaired driver traveling north on Campbellsville Road. Chief Deputy Aaron Rainwater along with Officer Josh Brockman were dispatched to Campbellsville Road where it was determined that 36 year old Scottie Allen of Columbia had wrecked his vehicle. Allen was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs (aggravated circumstances), resisting arrest, disorderly conduct 2nd degree, terroristic threatening 3rd degree, license to be in possession, reckless driving and two counts of assault 3rd degree on a police officer. Allen was transported to TJ Health Columbia for treatment and then lodged in the Adair County Jail.
Deputy Rainwater is investigating the incident. He was assisted on scene by Sheriff Harrison Moss, Officer Jordan Dean, Officer Jamie Cole, Constable Joe Collins and Kentucky State Police.
