Pulaski Co. Sheriff Greg Speck reports that deputies as well as other law enforcement officers responded to a 911 call of a shooting in Eubank, KY at approximately 8pmET on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.
Deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, KSP Troopers, Somerset Police Officers, Eubank and Science Hill Police Officers responded to 416 Northern Crossing Road, 10 miles north of Somerset to find a single victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
According to witness statements, a family dispute led to a physical altercation between family members at the residence and resulted in one individual being shot.
Dustin Sparkman, age 35 of 416 Northern Crossing Road was treated at the scene for a gunshot wound to the torso by Pulaski County EMS personnel and was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center by Air Methods.
Joseph Sparkman, age 56 of the same address was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of a knee injury received during the altercation.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office. No charges have been brought at the time of the press release.
