According to the FBI, the man accused of threatening President Donald Trump an Adair County, KY Medal of Honor recipient and other public officials was last seen Thursday afternoon, August 9, 2018 in West Virginia driving a Jeep stolen in Kentucky.
The FBI released surveillance photos of the man they believe is 27-year-old Shawn Christy, driving east on Interstate 64 in Huntington, West Virginia, in a green 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. KSP said Christy stole the Jeep from the Adair County home of Timothy Gilliam, the brother of Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer.
Christy, of McAdoo, Pennsylvania, was issued a federal warrant on June 19 after police said he made threatening posts about Trump. Law enforcement officials have been searching for Christy in central and western Kentucky. Christy is believed to be armed and dangerous and has threatened to use "full lethal force on any law enforcement officer" that tries to detain him.
KSP says it believes Christy may have broken into Gilliam's home in Adair County where he stole the Jeep, a mail delivery truck with a black hood with the Kentucky license plate number of 095WYT. When Gilliam returned home on Thursday evening, he found the front door had been kicked in. Police discovered that someone had also stolen food out of the refrigerator.
Meyer, Gilliam's brother, is from Columbia, KY and was married to Bristol Palin, the daughter of 2008 vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
