(Green County, KY August 15, 2018) On Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at approximately 9:24pmCT, Trooper Scott Curry conducted a routine traffic stop on a white 1988 dodge pickup truck, 2 miles North of Greensburg on KY 61. The operator of the vehicle was cited for Careless Driving. A passenger in the vehicle, 34 year old Tony Wright of Greensburg, consented to a search resulting in a small zip up baggy being located in his pocket. The bag contained a small smoke pipe, a straw with residue, rolling papers, a small plastic bag with marijuana, a small vile believed to contain methamphetamine and a Xanax pill. Wright was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine,) Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd degree- drug unspecified, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container 1st offense.
Wright was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.
