A man wanted for threatening President Donald Trump and other officials may be traveling through Maryland.
A federal warrant was issued for 27-year-old Shawn Christy in June after he made threats on Facebook to the Northampton County district attorney.
Christy also has multiple arrests warrants in Pennsylvania for burglary, probation violation and failure to appear for an aggravated assault cause. He has threatened to use full lethal force on any law enforcement officer that tries to detain him.
The Marshals Service and FBI investigators learned Saturday that a 2001 Jeep Cherokee stolen from Timothy Gilliam--the brother of Adair County Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer--which they believed Christy was driving, was found in a wooded area in Nitro, W.V.
The next evening, the Allegany County Sheriff's Office in Maryland received a call of a suspicious man sleeping in a vehicle in Cumberland, Maryland. Authorities said the man fled, and investigators have identified the man as Christy.
On Monday, a business owner located in the vicinity where Christy had fled, reported a stolen 1997 GMC Sierra pickup truck with Pennsylvania license plate ZGL-2845. The Marshals Service said Christy is considered a suspect in the theft of that pickup truck.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or Christy should call 911 immediately or the U.S. Marshals at 1-877-926-8332. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
