Lincoln County authrities are investigating after a woman's remains were discovered in a vehicle in the McKinney community.
The indentity of the middle aged woman has not been released. Her body was found Wednesday at a location on Clark Street.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Kentucky State Police arrested 61 year old Stanley Ray Johnson, of McKinney, yesterday. He is charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Abuse of a Corpse, and Failure to Report the Death of a Person. Johnson remains lodged in the Lincoln County Jail.
Authorities have not said if the arrest is connected to the discovery of the body.
