Sheriff Greg Speck reports that deputies responded to a 911 Dispatch of an injury accident on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the intersection of Highway 70 and Old Cuba Road.

At approximately 3:20 PM Wednesday, Deputy Danny Pevley arrived at the scene of a two vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Old Cuba Road and Highway 70.

Preliminary interviews of the vehicle operators indicated that Doug Peace, age 34 of Rainbow Terrace, Somerset, Kentucky was northbound on Old Cuba Road in a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon.  As he proceeded through the intersection with Highway 70, he was struck on the driver's side by an eastbound 1991 Nissan pickup truck operated by Ruth A. France, age 41 of Eubank, Kentucky.

Pulaski County EMS personnel treated a passenger in the Hyundai, James Peace, age 31 of Somerset, Kentucky at the scene for injuries he sustained in the accident.  He was flown from the scene by Air Methods to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for further treatment.

Deputy Pevley was assisted at the scene by volunteers of the Eubank Fire Department.

The accident remains under investigation by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
