Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck reports that two individuals were arrested on drug charges on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2018.

Acting on information gained in an investigation of drug activity, Deputy Brandon Smith conducted a "Knock and Talk" interview of occupants of a room at the Budget Inn in Somerset at approximately 12:09 AM on December 24, 2018. Permission to search the room was obtained by Deputy Smith which led to the discovery of several small baggies of methamphetamine, needles and scales hidden throughout the room.

Brian Oliver Muse, 39, of Sycamore Street, Somerset, KY and Jayme M. Witherspoon, 38, of Old Highway 27, Somerset, KY were arrested without incident. Both were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center charged with:

1.  Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine).

2.  Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Possess

The investigation continues by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
