On January 1, 2019 Casey Co. Deputies Bryan Shepard and Chad Weddle received a call of a vehicle on Dennis Davenport's property and the occupants had stolen a chair from the porch. The vehicle was located on Sloan Fork Rd and a traffic stop was conducted. The operator stated he had gotten the chair, his license was suspended, and he had smoked marijuana prior to operating the vehicle. Gary M. Chadwell, 56, of KY 501 was arrested for operating on suspended or revoked operator license, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alc/drugs/etc. .08 - 1st offense, and failure to produce insurance card. Davenport declined to press charges.
