Two Somerset residents were arrested on drug charges after Deputies conducted a traffic stop just after midnight.
Pulaski County Deputy Brandon Smith stopped a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica on Oak Hill Road. He noticed a small baggie of suspected narcotics in the vehicle. A positive indicator from the canine unit led to the discovery of 2.5 grams of methamphetamine and several small baggies on the floor as well as digital scales. The driver, 46 year old William Webster, of Somerset, KY was charged with Failure to Signal, No Registration Plates, & Trafficking in Methamphetamine. A passenger, Lynn Eric Smurr, age 40 of Somerset was also arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Methamphetamine.
Both were lodged in the Pulaski County Jail.
