A Metcalfe County man escaped injury Wednesday when the Semi truck he was driving went into a ditch and overturned.
The Casey County Sheriff's Office tells us 61 year old George Adams, of Summer Shade, was driving a 2018 Peterbilt Tractor/Trailer, headed West on Dry Fork Road, about 12 miles South of Liberty. Adams stated he was watching his outside mirror and drifted into the left lane, then ran off the left side of the road into the ditch, causing the rig to flip on it's side & onto a fence, owned by Mr. Jacob Hurst. There were no injuries reported. There was moderate damage to the semi, owned by E & Y Transport, out of Marrowbone, KY. The accident happened shortly after 11:30am Wednesday. Casey Co. Sheriff Chad Weddle investigated.
