The Casey County Fiscal Court met in regular session Monday.

County Coroner, Curt Demrow, addressed the court with a review of the activity for his office, which included a disturbing increase in the number of drug & alcohol related deaths in our county...

Mr. Demrow told the court he has formed a Child Fatality Review Board...

Mr. Demrow then asked the court to hire a 2nd paid deputy for his office at a salary of $250 a month. The court voted to table the matter for further discussion at the next meeting.

Under Miscellaneous Business, Judge Executive Randy Dial asked the court for permission to declare some obsolete office supplies as surplus & marked for destruction. The court voted in favor.

Judge Dial also addressed the magistrates about an environmental study, concerning the 9-1-1 Tower project...

The next regular meeting of the Casey County Fiscal Court will be Monday, Feb. 4th.
