On Monday, January 21, 2019 at 9:11amET, the Campbellsville Police Department responded to an automobile accident with injuries at the intersection of East Broadway and Lebanon Avenue. After an investigation, it was determined that a 1996 GMC pickup, operated by 86-year-old David Johnson of Campbellsville, KY turned into the path of a 2003 Ford Mustang operated by 18-year-old Melvin Shelton of Hodgenville, KY.
Shelton was transported by Campbellsville Taylor County EMS to Taylor Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. Johnson was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital by private vehicle.
