On Monday, January, 21, 2019 at 6:13pmCT, Adair County Sheriffs Deputy Brandon Hitch responded to a single vehicle collision on the Cumberland Parkway at mile marker 43. A 2007 Toyota Avalon, being driven by 34-year-old Tyler Pollitte of Owensboro, KY had hit black ice and lost control. The vehicle, which was traveling east, had spun around, traveled across the median, and struck the guardrail in the westbound lane of traffic.
Adair County EMS responded and treated Pollitte and his passenger, William Long of Owensboro, KY at the scene before transporting them to TJ Health Columbia for additional treatment.
Deputy Brandon Hitch is the investigating officer.
