The Casey County Sheriff's Office responded to the call of an assault, shortly before 3pm Wednesday at 36 Brook Drive.

When deputies arrived, they found the suspect, 44 year old Donald Propes Jr., of Liberty, KY had left the scene. Witnesses stated he had assaulted Freddie Carman. He was later located in a driveway on Dry Ridge Road with a bottle of alcohol in his hands. The officer noted Mr. Propes had slurred speech and was very unsteady on his feet. 

Propes was charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place, Violation of a Ky EPO/DVO, & Assault-4th Degree.
