On Monday, January 28^th, 2019 the Columbia Police Department responded to a trespassing complaint at Wal-Mart on Burkesville Rd. Upon officers arrival, contact was made with a female in the parking lot area and it was discovered that she was in possession of an amount of suspected methamphetamine.

Arrested was Amy Mcelroy, 33, of Russell Springs, KY. Mcelroy was charged with Criminal Trespassing 3^rd Degree; Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1^st Degree, 1^st offense; and Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Possess 1^stoffense. Mcelroy was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by CPD officer Sgt. JR Murphy and assisted at the scene by Adair County Sheriff Deputy Josh Durbin.
