PULASKI MAN ARRESTED ON WEAPONS CHARGES

According to Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck, a Somerset man was arrested in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 3, 2019 after a traffic stop by a deputy yielded several firearms in the possession of a convicted felon.

At approximately 3:42 am Sunday morning, Deputy Branson Patterson observed a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck on the 914 Bypass with only one functioning headlight.  Deputy Patterson conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Tip Miller, age 31 of Chapel Street, Somerset, Kentucky.

Pulaski County 911 Dispatch advised the deputy that Mr. Miller was being sought on a Knox County Complaint Warrant for: 1. Engaging in Organized Crime.  2. Receiving Stolen Property (Firearms). 3. Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.

Tip Miller was immediately arrested by Deputy Patterson without incident.  A search of the pickup truck led to the discovery of eleven firearms and ammunition.  Additional charges were brought against Mr. Miller including: Failure to Wear Seatbelt.  2. Operating Vehicle with One Headlight. 3. Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Assisting Deputy Patterson at the scene were Deputies Tan Hudson and Zach Bybee, Officer Eric Thomas of the Burnside Police Department and Constable Gary Baldock.

An investigation continues by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
