An Adair County man was airlifted from the scene following a collision on Hwy 61N on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019.
The motorcycle vs vehicle collision occurred at approx. 5:30pmCT. 64-year-old Marilynn Blair of Campbellsville, KY was traveling south on Hwy 61N at a high rate of speed. Blair topped a rise and struck a 2006 Honda motorcycle in the rear being operated by 70-year-old Thomas Hardison of Columbia, KY. The impact sent the motorcycle over 300 feet from the point of impact before coming to rest. Hardison was found in the roadway 215 feet from the impact.
An Air Evac helicopter was called to the scene by Adair County EMS and Thomas Hardison was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in critical condition; Marilynn Blair was not injured.
Adair County Deputy Sheriff Josh Durbin is investigating the accident.
