* Until 230 PM CST Monday.
* At 2:26pm Sunday, Wolf Creek Dam reported increased water
release from the dam since the reservoir is running high due to
recent rainfall over the last few days. This flood gate release
combined with existing high water in the warning area will cause
new flooding along the Cumberland River starting this evening &
continuing through the overnight hours until the release ends.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Burkesville, Leslie, Meshack, Blythe, Ellington, Bow, Creelsboro,
Grider, Vernon and Stalcup near the Cumberland River.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles. Should the bridge on highway 912
flood, do not attempt to cross it.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
