A Taylor County woman died in a 2-car crash on Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Campbellsville, KY.
62-year-old Sharon Clark of Campbellsville, KY was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that occurred at 7:59pmET on Thursday. Clark was operating a 2013 Mazda, traveling east on Greensburg Road, when the vehicle struck a deer. Clark overcorrected and crossed over into the westbound lane. Another vehicle, being driven by 51-year-old Timothy Shirley of Summersville, KY was traveling west and struck Clark's auto in the rear passenger side. Shirley and two passengers, 53-year-old Lisa Shirley and a 2-year-old female, were transported to Taylor Regional Hospital. One of the passengers was later flown to Vanderbilt Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Taylor County Deputies Paul Pinson and Mark Dickens investigated the fatal accident. They were assisted on scene by Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS, Green Co. EMS, and Campbellsville/Taylor County Fire & Rescue.
