The Casey County fiscal Court met in regular session on Monday, March 18, 2019.
A visitor addressed the court concerning water damage to his property. Mr. Bruce Floyd owns a farm at the foot of Grove Ridge and Bastin Creek Road. Representing a group of neighboring property owners, Mr. Floyd told the court that the county had installed a drainage tile with in the last three or four years that has been causing flooding problems to his property and others. No action was taken.
Under jail business, Judge Executive Randy Dial told magistrates about a request for an extension to a service agreement with a communications company in order to access potential grant money...
County attorney Tommy Weddle questioned whether the court should enter into a contract longer than an elected official’s term of office. The issue was tabled until next meeting.
The Casey County Fiscal Court meets again on April 1, 2019.
