An Adair County man was arrested on drug trafficking charges on Friday after a search of his residence.
At 12:23amCT on Friday, March 22, 2019 the Adair County Sheriffs Office conducted a search of a residence in eastern Adair County off TP Cundiff Rd that was suspected to be used for the illegal sale of narcotics. During the search, individually packaged Methamphetamine was located along with pills, loaded syringes, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, and cash (suspected as proceeds from the sale of drugs).
Arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail was 40-year-old Joseph Trumpis of Columbia, KY. Trumpis was charged with:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st degree (Methamphetamine)
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree and
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Adair Co. Sheriffs Deputy Chandler Staten is continuing the investigation. He was assisted on-scene by Chief Deputy Justin Cross and KSP Trooper Billy Begley.
