A Green County teenager was arrested on numerous charges following a high-speed chase on Wednesday night.
At 8:45pmCT, Greensburg Police Officer Whitlow attempted to stop a vehicle being driven by 19-year-old Elijah Ratliff of Greensburg, KY following a traffic violation. Ratliff accelerated to approx. 100mph in an attempt to elude Officer Whitlow. The vehicle turned off Hwy 68 onto Marshall Ridge Road, still at an excessive speed. Ratliff then turned off Marshall Ridge Road onto Nunn Road, abandoned his vehicle, ran on foot, telephoned the 911 Center and reported his vehicle stolen. A short time later, Ratliff was located and arrested. He was charged with: Wanton Endangerment, 1st degree, Fleeing or Evading Police, Falsely Reporting an Incident, Possession of Marijuana, DUI, Possession of Acohol by a Minor, Improper Start, Disregarding a Stop Sign, and Speeding. Ratliff was lodged in the Taylor Co. Detention Center.
