The Liberty City Council met in regular session Monday.

The Liberty Police Department is asking permission from the council to apply for a grant to purchase two new Dodge Charger patrol cars.

The motion was approved by unanimous vote.

Also on the adgenda was Garbage Franchise Rates. Recently, a representative of Republic Waste from Lincoln County, addressed the court concerning the out-sourcing for residential & commercial garbage collection in the city. After consideration, the council voted to advertise for Franchise Rate bids. 

The next regular meeting of the Liberty City Council is scheduled for May 13th.
