Edmonton, KY (April 23, 2019) - On Monday, April 22, 2019 at approximately 1:00pmCT, KSP Trooper Allen Shirley was on a Traffic Safety Checkpoint on Greensburg Road when he made contact with 29-year-old Laura Crum of Louisville, KY who was operating a 2006 Dodge Stratus. Crum appeared to be under the influence. Following standard field sobriety tests performed by Trooper Shirley, a vehicle search was conducted resulting in suspected heroine, marijuana, and several prescription pills being located.
Crum was arrested and charged with DUI 1st; Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (Drug Unspecified); Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd degree (Drug unspecified); Possession of Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Reckless Driving; & Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense (Heroin).
Crum was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
