The Russell County Chamber of Commerce Banquet was held on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2019.
The following awards were presented:
- President's Award (Outstanding Business of the Year) - Superior Battery of Jamestown, KY who recently done an expansion that added several new jobs
- New Business of the Year - Jo'mel Seams Reasonable, Inc. of Jamestown, KY. The plant primarily manufactures zippered smooth-top mattress covers. The business just added 30 new jobs and has gotten a contract to work on mattress covers that prevent bed bugs.
- Past President's Award - Randy Baird
- Hall of Fame Award - Sharon Hill with McKinney & Blair insurance. Hill has served as treasurer of the R.C. Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years and just retired from that position.
Over $800 was donated to Kevin's Kids at last nights banquet. Steve Branscum accepted the donation on behalf of Kevin Williams who was unable to attend the banquet. Mr. Branscum read a letter from Kevin thanking everyone for their donations.
A wonderful meal prepared by Lake Cumberland State Resort Park was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in attendance!
