A Eubank man is facing charges following a single vehicle injury accident in Casey County Wednesday morning.

Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle tells us the mishap occurred around 8am. 27 year old Devairo Whitehead was driving a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, headed south on KY 501, over the centerline, when he met another vehicle, overcorrected and overturned into a creek.

Whitehead broke his leg in the accident and was transported by Casey County EMS to Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville for treatment.

Sheriff Weddle reports Whitehead showed signs of impairment and stated he had smoked marijuana recently.

A back pack was found in the vehicle, which contained a bag of marijuana.

Whitehead was cited for DUI and Possession of Marijuana.
