A 3-vehicle accident on Friday, May 3, 2019 on Hwy 127 in Russell Springs, KY resulted in two drivers being injured.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:50amCT in front of Anna’s Garden across from Russell County Elementary School. 68-year-old Freda Hodson of the Royville community of Russell Springs, KY was operating a Hyundai Elantra when she reportedly pulled onto Hwy 127 into the path of Dorlisa Beaty, who was traveling south in a Pontiac Sunfire. Beaty struck Hodson’s vehicle in the drivers side. After the impact, Hodson’s vehicle struck another auto, a Chevrolet S10, being driven by Kevin Hall who was traveling north on Hwy 127.
Freda Hodson was transported to Russell County Hospital and later flown to the UK Hospital in Lexington, KY where she is being treated for multiple injuries, including a broken neck and leg. Dorlisa Beaty was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset for treatment of a possible broken arm. Kevin Hall was not injured.
The Russell Springs Police Dept investigated the accident. They were assisted at the scene by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office, Russell Springs Fire Department and Russell County EMS.
