An English teacher at ACHS will be on “Jeopardy” starring Alex Trebeck this week.
Vicki Leibeck Owsley will be appearing on the game show on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019. It is "Teachers Tournament Week" on Jeopardy. The Teachers Tournament is held each season on the TV quiz show. Contestants are full-time teachers of students in grades K-12. A total of 15 players compete, plus one alternate who is invited as a standby. The winner receives $100,000 and a berth in the Tournament of Champions. 1st runner-up collects $50,000 and the 2nd runner-up wins $25,000 (or their combined scores from the two-game final, whichever are higher). Semifinalists who are eliminated collect $10,000 while those eliminated in the quarterfinals pocket $5,000. Check your local listings for time & channel.
