On Sunday, May 4th, 2019 the Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to the 2200 Block of Hwy 55N to a 2-vehicle accident. A northbound 2002 Chevy Cavalier, operated by Diana Grider of Columbia, KY started to pass another vehicle and failed to observe a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by Tandy Rogers of Columbia, KY stopped in traffic waiting to make a left-hand turn. Grider then struck the rear of Rogers vehicle.
All occupants involved were treated and released by Adair County EMS.
Adair County Sheriff's Deputy Derek Padgett is investigating the collision. He was assisted on scene by Adair County EMS and Columbia City Police Officer Jamie Cole.
