According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, May 3, 2019, Blake Tuttle, 27, of Somerset, KY reported that he was robbed and kidnapped the day before (Thursday, May 2nd). Tuttle told Deputies that 30-year-old Joshua Akin of Columbia, KY had assaulted him with a handgun. After Tuttle was released, a family member took him to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset for treatment of facial injuries.

At 9:13pmET on Friday night, deputies received information from the victim's father that he had found his son's stolen vehicle in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store on the corner of West Ky. 80 and Ky. 914.
